Who needs to take the ACT?
If you are applying to a degree program and are age 21 or younger at the start of the term, to which you are applying, You must complete a college entrance examination (ACT or SAT) and have the results sent to the universities to which you are applying or to the Enrollment Service Center. If ACT or SAT scores are listed on your High School transcript, it is not necessary to request the scores from the testing agency.
Residual ACT Exam vs National ACT Exam
Residual ACT Exam will only work for the South Dakota Board of Regents admission purposes. Students would preferably take the residual ACT from the school they wish to apply to. This exam can be taken at any time at the main campus location.
The National ACT exam will work for South Dakota admission purposes as well as other institutions around the country. However, the test is limited to a few times a year and registration must be done well in advance.
Please see the bar at the right for contact information for both Residual Exams and National Exams.
