Get to Know Dr. Sopko...
Q: Where did you grow up? A: I'm a Sioux Falls native. Q: What is your education background? A: I have a Bachelor's degree from USF, a Masters and Ed.D. from USD.
Q:What are you currently reading? A: When I read for pleasure, I read murder mysteries written by women. They are usually not as gory and always have some humor in them!
Q:What are your favorite activities? A: One of my favorite things to do is travel. My husband and I try to take at least one big vacation each year. I also enjoy reading, biking, and my newest obsession is playing Wii games. Q: What do you like best about working at University Center? A: I like everything about it...helping the students, collaborating with campuses, and working with the faculty and the UC staff. The staff at UC is made up of some of the most caring and effective people I have ever worked with. Q: What job duties do you perform at University Center? A: I am an academic and student services administrator so I am involved with a wide variety of duties from course scheduling, assisting faculty and students, developing new services, to budgeting and supervision of staff. The people I work with and the variety of duties makes this the best job I have ever had! |
