Types of Enrolled Students
There are numerous ways you can become a registered student:

Degree Seeking
To seek a degree and be eligible for financial aid, you must fill out an application.  Once you've received a letter of acceptance, call (605) 367-5640 to set up an appointment with an advisor to go over classes and get registered.

Non-Degree Seeking
To just take a class or two, you can just stop by the University Center office anytime during Open Registration to fill out a registration form.  When you are non-degree seeking, you are not eligible for financial aid.

Special Students
If you already have a bachelor's degree and do not plan to work toward a graduate degree, you may enroll as a special student.  All that is required is documentation of your bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.  You can just stop by the University Center office during Open Registration to fill out a registration form.  When you are a special student, you are not eligible for financial aid.

Concurrent/Dual Enrollment

Are you a high school student who would like to get a head start on college education?  The Concurrent/Dual Enrollment Program allows high school juniors and seniors take college classes, earn college credit and possibly satisfy high school graduation requirements.  Gain early exposure to the university learning environment by customizing a plan of study with an representative today!

Keep In Mind...
All students must have submitted a copy of their immunizations before they can become a registered student.

If you're looking to take a course that has a pre-requisite, you must provide proof that you have taken that pre-requisite course prior to registration.

The universities reserve the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, or to close a class to further enrollments.  If a class is cancelled, the student will receive a full refund.

To Search for Courses...
Use the Course Offerings tool on the website to search for courses available at the UC location.  Or as a Prospective Student, you can also Search for Class Sections by using WebAdvisor for courses available through the South Dakota public university system (online, at a main campus or the University Center location).
