The state of our national economy remains in the news headlines, and we understand that these stories affect us locally as well. You may face challenges in financing your education, but it will be well worth it when you earn your degree! We encourage you to look for ways to fund your education through tax credits, scholarships, grants, the new GI Bill, and/or your employer.
We have several scholarships that are available specifically for University Center students, and there are many more scholarships that are sponsored by local businesses for students in the Sioux Falls community. Another improvement in financial aid for students comes in the form of the Economic Stimulus Bill of 2009. Through the American Opportunity tax credit, you could receive up to $2,500 per year to cover your higher education expenses. Check the Financial Aid section of our website for information on both the tax credit and applying for scholarships. Or, contact Vikki Van Hull in the Financial Aid office.
