Two SDSU students win Best Sociology Presentation!
The purpose of Undergraduate Research Scholarship and Creative Activity Day (URSCAD) is to encourage, promote and recognize faculty and student involvement in undergraduate research at SDSU. Undergraduate research is proven to be one of the highest impact activities in terms of student learning and success. Congratulations to SDSU's Sociology students attending University Center in Sioux Falls, Andrea Mulock and Sandra Pickard who won for Best Sociology Presentation!!
A poster show with refreshments took place from 1:00-3:00 p.m., and featured performances at 3:00 p.m., and at 3:30 p.m., awards for outstanding student and faculty achievement were presented. The recognition of the Schultz-Werth award winners and Joseph F. Nelson undergraduate mentorship among other honors took place. Student submissions were encouraged across sciences, social sciences, humanities, creative and performing arts. Participation at URSCAD is considered a university-excused absence by poster show exhibitors and other contributors. Student participants registered for the poster show by April 7 via: http://urscad2015.questionpro.com. Maximum poster dimensions for URSCAD are 4 feet wide and 6 feet high.
