I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master of Science in Counseling and Human Resource Development with specializations in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling, and College Counseling from SDSU. I now serve as the Student Success Coordinator for University Center Sioux Falls. I enjoy working with students and having the opportunity to get to know each student individually, learn about their passions and goals, and assist them in exploring resources that aid in current and future success!
Linda has degrees in business, training and development, and higher education. She has over 20 years of experience in working with business and industry to help their employees maximize their potential through training and education. She splits her time between the University of South Dakota campus in Vermillion and the University Center in Sioux Falls.

The mission of South Dakota State University Veterans Affairs Office is to assist military veterans, their family members and their survivors in obtaining all federal and state educational benefits and entitlements they have earned by serving in the United States military, and to provide guidance and support services that will aid veterans in their transition to academic and civilian life.
Purpose
Coordinate programs specifically for veterans
House a federal certifying official to assist with financial aid
Assist students who are deployed and still enrolled at SDSU
Provide additional support to the SDSU Armed Forces Association
Collaborate with the city and county agencies that assist veterans
Work with returning National Guard units and other active-duty personnel to assist with admission/re-admission to SDSU
Work collaboratively with Financial Aid, Counseling Center and Disability Services to provide services and support

I earned a BS degree in Psychology w/English (2002) and a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology in Education (2006) from The University of South Dakota. While completing my MA degree, I started working with students in an advisory capacity at University Center in October 2005. I enjoy working at University Center because I have the opportunity to work with people who wish to use education to grow and develop personally with the overarching goal of becoming a meaningful contributor to society.
I earned a BS degree in Business Administration in 2008 from Minnesota School of Business. After earning my degree, I started working in higher education in various roles, before finding my true passion with Financial Aid in 2012. I sincerely enjoy the financial aid process and assisting students and parents with understanding their entire financial aid picture and how, together, we can make it a smooth and successful process. I appreciate working at University Center as we genuinely have our students’ success at the forefront of our mission.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Augsburg College, a Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration from SDSU and now serve as an Academic and Career Advisor. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Sioux Falls. I joined University Center Sioux Falls staff in May of 2015. I provide secretarial support to the Admissions Department.
I graduated from Dakota State University with a bachelor of science in secondary business education. I am the front desk, part time receptionist/secretary. What I love about University Center Sioux Falls is both the UC-SF staff as well as our amazing students. My job is great because I get to support both staff and students.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Environmental Management with a Leadership minor from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Education in Leadership in Student Affairs from the University of St. Thomas. I joined the University Center family in April 2018 as the Recruitment and Outreach Specialist. In my role, I am able to promote the UC student experience and higher education opportunities to prospective students as well as the greater Sioux Falls community.

I come to the University Center with many years of experience in various types of business settings, from non-profit, large corporate, healthcare and, most importantly, state/government funded facilities. I started my career working at the SD School for the Deaf where I also attended many college classes provided through the University Center after having received a Secretarial Degree from Worthington Community College.
I continued my education for many years as I also worked for the State of SD at Disability Determination Services, providing assistance to residents of the State of SD. I then ventured into a corporate setting where I assisted top executives at Lodgenet Entertainment (Sonifi) for many years. I hope that my experience will be an asset to the faculty and staff at the University Center as I assist in scheduling our beautiful facility, scheduling classes, assisting faculty, as well as assisting in our Testing Center. I feel this is a wonderful opportunity to assist our community in developing students, through education, into becoming conducive, productive constituents in our society and community.
Adam graduated from Augustana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in religion and philosophy. He then went on to get a Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration from SDSU. He brings with him experiences working in higher education at various institutions both near and far for the past 8 years of his professional journey. Adam joined University Center in April 2018 after working at Southeast Technical Institute as a Retention and Housing Coordinator. He has a passion for education and for student success and is thrilled to get to know and advise the students at University Center.

Welcome to the Testing Center. My name is Cindy Girard and I am here to make your testing experience a great one. Previously, I was the Library Director in Hill City, SD, so quiet is my middle name. I also have many years of experience in the field of education and was the Middle School Testing Coordinator at the RTR school system. I received my MEd from SDSU in Curriculum and Instruction.

I'm the Information Technology Team Leader at University Center. I have more than 20 years of experience working in this field and have been with University Center since 2009. I enjoy the challenges of this position as well as working with the staff and students!
I am a graduate of Colorado Technical University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management. I also earned an Associates of Science degree in Business Administration from American Institute of Business located in Des Moines, IA.
My previous experiences have been with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of IA & SD, serving over 28 years in their Property Management & Operation divisions with 22 of those years in leadership roles.
My team and I provide facility management services for our buildings & grounds at University Center Sioux Falls.
Melody Jewell is responsible for teaching the Chemistry 106 lectures and other 100-level chemistry lectures and labs. She graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in 2002 and has been teaching at University Center since 2003. In her free time she enjoys cooking, reading, playing with her golden retriever Bailey and watching Gopher football.

Jamie Ladonski has taught biology courses at University Center since 2006. Prior to coming to UC, he worked at the Field Museum in Chicago for over five years, assisting with management of the Museum’s zoology research collections.
Randy Warren has taught biology courses at University Center since 2007. He holds a Ph.D. in genetics and previously studied the molecular biology of plant-pathogen interactions.
Dr. Card attained his Bachelor of Science from USD 1981, after which he achieved his Master of Public Administration, Public Administration from USD in 1987. Lastly, he obtained his PhD in Public Policy & Management, The Ohio State University in 1992.
Dr. Card's Teaching Interests are:
Organiational Theory, generally State and local government and politics, with special interests in South Dakota government Public and Nonprofit Organization Strategic Management

I am a current SDSU student pursuing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. I started working as UC's Front Desk Secretary in November of 2017. I am in a unique position where I get to assist and support students, but will also get to grow with them academically. I look forward to supporting the success of both students and staff!
I obtained my bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities & hold my Master's degree from the University of Wales at Bangor, United Kingdom. I have 15 years of marketing, community leadership/outreach and media experience. I was the Marketing Director of Sylvan Learning in Sioux Falls for 9 years. My experience also includes Associate Director of Admissions at the Art Institutes in Minneapolis, MN and Educational Advisor for the St. Paul, MN Public School District. UC is such a wonderful and amazing facility filled with talent staff, faculty and, above all, students achieving their educational goals. I'm thrilled and proud to lead the marketing and communication efforts for University Center Sioux Falls.
Camilla Veire is the academic advisor for all pre-nursing and nursing majors (standard and accelerated) students seeking their SDSU BSN through the SF/University Center site. She also teaches a nursing freshman seminar course which is required of all nursing students.
James Clem, Pharm.D. is the Department Head for the Department of Pharmacy Practice at South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa and has been with the SDSU College of Pharmacy since 1992.
Jodi Heins, Pharm.D. is the Assistant Department Head for the Department of Pharmacy Practice at South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy and has been with SDSU College of Pharmacy since 1994.
Suzy Turnquist serves as Office Manager for Prairie Family Business. She has 15 years of experience in the areas of office administration, graphics and marketing. Most recently, Suzy worked at Morningside College and is a graduate of Morningside. She owned and operated her own small business for eight years.
Rebecca brings experience building solid relationships with a diverse membership and enhancing program offerings from her most recent position as program coordinator for the Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce.
Dan Engebretson is the Chair of the University of South Dakota’s Department of Biomedical Engineering. He founded the department in 2006 in a space leased at the Zeal Center for Entrepreneurship (formerly South Dakota Technology Business Center) in Sioux Falls. The department moved into USD’s Graduate Education and Applied Research (GEAR) Center located on the University Center-Sioux Falls site in 2009. Along with its Graduate and Applied Research focus, the GEAR Center offers Certificates and a stackable Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering. It will also play a prominent role in USD’s Discovery District. Dan grew up in Sioux Falls and received his B.A. in Chemistry from Augustana before moving to Michigan where he received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry.
