Lifelong Learning
It’s never too late to learn.
At UC, we believe learning lasts a lifetime. In addition to our degree programs, University Center offers opportunities for anyone in the community to brush up on their skills:
OLLI
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at University Center is a non-profit organization that helps people age 50 and over gather together and learn for the fun of it. OLLI’s short term, non-credit classes focus on a broad range of topics. Learn more about OLLI.
Visitors
UC’s visitor policy allows anyone to take a class without credit. If you’re looking to improve your skills in a certain area or take courses without worrying about grades, visitor courses could be for you. University Center’s visitor policy allows an individual to take a course for a reduced rate of $100 for the benefit of learning and not for credit. As a visitor, you can sit in on the class and listen to lecture, but you’re not required to turn in assignments, take tests, or complete any other graded work. Additionally, you will not be granted access to D2L (online course system where instructors post additional materials for class). The visitor policy only applies to an individual who is not currently taking any classes in the Regental system, when there is space available in the class and with instructor permission. Visitors are limited to 2 courses per semester and are responsible for purchasing the required books or any other classroom materials needed. If you are interested in participating in class as a visitor, please contact us!
Professional Development
These programs provide ongoing training for working professionals, meeting the needs of the Sioux Falls business community. Contact us to learn more.
