Tuition reduction is now available through the UC Foundations program.

The UC Foundations tuition reduction program decreases tuition to $197.60 per credit hour on certain 100 & 200 level courses. That’s more than $100 below the normal tuition rate and can save students, like you, over $6000 on the cost of college.

Anyone can take advantage of tuition reduction through UC Foundations – there are no special requirements or qualifications to meet. Simply register for one of the courses listed below and you will pay the lower rate.

UC Foundations puts choice in the hands of students. By foregoing a broader selection of courses, you gain the advantage of a lower tuition rate. DSU, NSU, SDSU and USD work together to deliver these courses, so you’ll still receive the same high quality curriculum and instruction you’ve come to expect from South Dakota’s public universities.

Whether you’re pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree, this tuition reduction program quite literally helps you lay the foundation for a higher education. Take these courses to fulfill your general education requirements on the way to earning your bachelor’s degree.  Or, earn an A.A. in General Studies from DSU, NSU, SDSU or USD by taking only Foundations courses. You’ll have both a stepping-stone to further education and a degree you can use to further your career in the meantime.
