The relatively small staff at University Center work in partnership with corresponding offices on the main campus to help students gain access to main campus services when needed. In addition to our regular support staff, University Center houses faculty and staff for the SDSU nursing and pharmacy programs. University Center is also home to several full-time faculty who teach almost exclusively at University Center.

Part-time Tutors

Spring Semester 2019

$10.00 per hour

University Center’s Student Success Center is seeking to hire Academic Tutors with specialty areas including English, Science, and Statistics, to provide extra instruction and support to University Center students. Tutors at University Center are an essential partner in helping students to succeed and develop study skills. All positions would take place on the University Center Sioux Falls campus. 

Subject areas needed:

• English 101: Composition 1
• Chemistry 108: Organic and Biochemistry
• Chemistry 328: Organic Chemistry II
• Math 281: Statistics

Applicants must have good communication and organizational skills, knowledge of the content area and be capable of effectively assisting students in the assigned area. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours.

Dates Needed: January 7- May 3 2019

Time Commitment: Schedule is flexible depending on subject area. Typically 2 hours shift between 10a-5p, Monday – Friday.
