Testing & Resource Center
Yes, you can learn to love studying.
University Center’s Resource & Testing Center makes studying quiet, comfortable and easier to love. With 17 study cubicles and computer stations, you can always find a quiet corner to concentrate. All students can use the cubicles on a first-come, first-served basis. The Testing Center also offers proctor services, library resources and placement tests.
Library
UC’s library system is linked to libraries from all of our partner universities, opening up a huge array of resources. Visit your Home School's Library for help on research, materials, guides and support for all your study and research needs.
Study Resources
The Testing Center offers everyday tools to help you with studying, class exams and more. Students have access to study material for certain exams (CAAP, CLEP, etc.), news sources, and quiet study cubicles.
Placement Exams & Credit for Prior Learning
Some people equate tests with torture. But at UC, placement and proficiency tests can help you earn your degree faster while saving money. The Testing Center offers ACCUPLACER placement tests to get you started at the right class for your skill level. You can also take a CLEP test to earn credit for certain college courses without actually taking them. That can shave time – and dollars – off your degree. Two other third-party resources available to you are Varsity Tutors (offering a variety of sample tests and questions to begin the process of test preparation) and BrightStorm. NOTE: Always check with your advisor and program to learn which test is appropriate for you.
